In spite of the years of complete abandon, which lead to the grave deterioration of the Villa, it has been possible to conserve the essential characteristics of the original structure. Some typical features of the period were found in the masonry and stonework suggesting that the building dates to the second half of the 15th century – though this has been difficult to define precisely.
The recently finished restoration has paid maximum attention and respect to the structure and characteristics of the original – without sacrificing the functionality and conveniences needed to ensure that a stay at Villa Mori is comfortable in every way.
